According to research released earlier this year, Tuesday is the most productive day of the week – from there it’s all downhill. For many people, getting through Wednesday after an extra long Tuesday is a battle.
Raine Square in the Perth CBD is providing workers with a treat to get past the Wednesday “hump” and cruise towards the weekend with their ‘Hump Day’ Wednesday $2 coffee promotion, which runs throughout April.
Every specialty outlet in Raine Square is on board – Biscotti, Croissant Express, Game City, Maven Coffee and Pajeco.
“Australians are known for working hard. The middle of the week marks the countdown to the weekend and to mark this special day we wanted to treat our dedicated CBD shoppers to $2 coffees,” Raine Square Marketing Manager Andrew Wilkinson said.
The 2014 OECD Better Life Index Shows that more than 14% of Australians work long hours, much more than the 9% average around the rest of the world.
According to the Index, Australia ranks 6 in long hours worked out of the 36 OECD countries.
To take the grind out of the working week, “Hump Day” celebrations will also include Facebook competitions, a weekly Wednesday Food Court entertainer from 10.30am to 1.30pm, and entertainment on the street throughout the morning.
“We’re really passionate about making “Hump Day” fun for city workers and help get them through the remainder of the working week,” Andrew said.
