Truffle Kerfuffle presented by Genuinely Southern Forests

Australia’s premier truffle celebration returns with chefs Duncan Welgemoed (Africola, Adelaide) and James Viles (Biota Dining, Bowral) heading to a festival now renowned for attracting the country’s hottest culinary talent. Joined by a line-up of WA’s top chefs, truffle growers, farmers, producers and winemakers for a weekend of good food, wine and down to earth fun in the heart of Australian truffle country.
Truffle Kerfuffle is a weekend long celebration of truffle season. A hands on and adventurous festival, guests can join truffle hunters to search out prized truffles, visit the marketplace for a taste of the region or get their truffle fix at exclusive dining events.
With a number of new dining events and the expansion of the offering within the festival grounds and marketplace, festival goers can build their own gourmet weekend like never before. The atmosphere is set to be hands on and adventurous. Truffle hunts will give guests the chance to join the hunters and their truffle dogs as they sniff out and unearth what is the third most expensive ingredient in the world.
Of course there is also the opportunity to get your truffle fix by eating your way through the festival marketplace or pulling up a pew at one of the Chef’s Cabin or Truffle Stage sessions. Or you can simply just soak up the laid back atmosphere. One thing is for sure: there is a bounty of truffles, local food, wine, produce and good times on offer.
The festival features Sunday as its community day with discounted entry and free admission for under 18s; an experience for foodies of all ages.

Travel and Accommodation: Southern Forests is a scenic 3.5-hour drive from Perth or 90 minutes from Margaret River. The undulating landscape features historic Karri forests, rivers and farmland. There are luxury and budget accommodation options available in Manjimup and surrounding towns of Pemberton, Northcliffe, Bridgetown and Nannup and Margaret River.
